Carrière is a certified FAIRTRADE partner since 2004 and shares the FAIRTRADE philosophy together with their suppliers and customers. A sustainable exposure with the resources is equally crucial as the support of low income farmers and fruit pickers. The sale of these products – with guaranteed minimum prices and the additional premiums – contributes to a better life for these growers. The quality of life improvement is evident in the building of schools, medical care, education of the farmers, providing personal documents, road building and much more.

The demand for FAIRTRADE products is increasing worldwide.

The worldwide turnover of Fairtrade products grew by 21% during 2008 and 2009. The turnover of these products is expected to triple over the next 5 years. This successful development also reflects in the Fairtrade segment of Carrière GmbH, which encourages us to constantly convince new suppliers and customers to join and support the Fairtrade system.
